Tucked into the lush, rolling hills of Alajuela, Costa Rica, a network of dedicated micro-farms produces one of Central America’s most vibrant and refined coffees. Grown between 1,300 and 1,445 meters in fertile volcanic loam, this coffee reflects the care of small-scale farmers who focus on quality over quantity—and whose connection to the land is as rich as the soil itself.
Here, Caturra and Catuai varietals are nurtured under dappled shade, then harvested by hand at peak ripeness. Using eco-pulping—a water-efficient method that gently removes the fruit while preserving sweetness—beans are then sun-dried, allowing their natural sugars to shine through.
The result is a medium roast that’s bright and nuanced. Sweet apple notes lead the way, followed by the comforting richness of raisin and a lingering finish of golden honey. It’s clean, elegant, and endlessly drinkable—like a crisp morning breeze in the Costa Rican highlands.
