In the high valleys of Antigua, Guatemala, beneath the shadow of three majestic volcanoes, coffee grows in soil rich with minerals and stories. At altitudes between 1,200 and 1,616 meters, smallholder farmers—many with generations of knowledge—cultivate time-honored varietals like Bourbon, Catuai, Caturra, and Typica in the deep, volcanic loam.
This historic region is known around the world for its ideal growing conditions: cool nights, warm days, and a climate that brings out unparalleled complexity in every bean. After harvest, cherries are fully washed to highlight clarity and brightness, then sun-dried to lock in sweetness and depth.
The coffee beans are then aged for a minimum of 30-days in formerly utilized whiskey barrels to create an amazing flavor!
The result is a medium roast that is both smooth and refined. Dark chocolate forms the backbone of the cup, layered with bright fruit notes and a smooth, butterscotch finish with notes of oak and whiskey that lingers with quiet warmth.
